The story
My name is Lucía Sciurano. I spent my early years in Ushuaia, Argentina, before moving to Buenos Aires. I studied Industrial Engineering at ITBA and later started working in startups. That’s when I became a fan of building things from scratch. I worked remotely for tech companies for a few years, but I often felt very lonely and missed face-to-face contact with people.
It was around that time that I discovered Cambutal, Panama. The place blew my mind—because of its people, its landscapes, but above all, the freedom I felt living there. That’s when I decided to create Compa, a concept for those with remote jobs who dream of moving more but don’t know where to start or don’t want to do it alone. Here, we organize group trips with people who are in the same boat: looking for a bit of nature, company, and new experiences. "En febrero me fui a Cambutal con Compa, un lugar que no conocÃa y que me voló la cabeza. Cuando llegás, te das cuenta de que literal estás en la mitad de la nada.
Cero ruido, cero turistas, a pura naturaleza, playa infinita y una tranquilidad que no se explica. Nos quedamos en una casa con vista al mar, y la playa ahà nomás. Arrancábamos a la mañana tempra con unos mates mirando las olas, sin apuro y con esas charlas que solo salen cuando tenés tiempo de verdad.
Hicimos un poco de todo: surf (algunos ya sabÃan, otros estábamos felices con solo pararnos jaja), caminatas largas por la playa, fogones a la noche y hasta salimos a pescarrr. Volvimos con unos bichos enormes que cenamos esa misma noche. Alta experiencia.
El pueblo es chico, con toda la onda: un par de bares, lugares donde quedarse que están bárbaros, gente tranquila y todos tienen muy buena onda. Todo es simple.
La pasé increÃble. Compa armó un viaje que me sacó totalmente de la rutina. Ya estoy si puedo sumarme al próximo."
